God’s Plan For You

God created everything and saw that it was good (Genesis 1).  When describing His creation, God calls us, mankind, His workmanship.  We were fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139, Ephesians 2).

We chose sin.  Every single one of us (Romans 3).  To describe sin as “bad things” does not do it justice.  It is ANYTHING we choose over God.  This can even include things that were meant for good.

God is a perfect judge.  Our sin separated us from God and there is nothing we can do to earn our salvation back to God.  (Titus 3, Ephesians 2).

But God loved us that He sent His Son to die for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21 – For our sakes, He made Him to be sin, who knew no sin, that we might become the righteousness of God.

We have redemption through the cross. We have forgiveness through Jesus alone (John 14:6).  Jesus lived a perfect life, and became a perfect sacrifice by dying on the cross.

Jesus took the wrath of God,  our punishment, so that we can be reconciled with our creator.

Jesus rose from the dead three days later, defeating death and giving us the opportunity to have eternal life.

We can become a Christ follower by making Jesus our Savior and Lord (King) (Acts 16:31).

As a follower of Christ, we are called to do just that, follow!  (Matthew 16).
